That is That,
That is That,
Ladies and gents I officially worked my final shift as a a police Sgt after 33 years one month and three days. I now go through the medial retirement process which takes around 12 months. My body and head have given me enough reasons to call it a day. It has been mostly a blast. The final few years have been tough due to the anti police push that has done great damage to this great job world wide. It also seems to be getting worse. It will be strange no longer being a police but that will pass. I am enjoying spending more time with friends and family. Not working shift work and weekends. I also get paid still. Not as much but still generous.
Re: That is That,
Congrats on you retirement. I hope you enjoy it!

Re: That is That,
My checkout process took a month. 12 months seems like a long time. But anyway Congratulations and enjoy your retirement

Re: That is That,
Congratulations. I've been off the job (fire/ems) for almost 2 1/2 years now & still miss a lot of it. Some parts, not so much...LOL. I did 32 years & 2 months.
Retired 2/27/2021 after 32 years & 2 months on the job. 91 years combined between my grandfather, father, and me.

Congratulations Mark. Time to sit back and spend quality time with all those models.

Re: That is That,
Thank you for all the kind words. I have quite a bit of things that I want to get done over time. There’s plenty. 12 months is a short period the time as it takes comes down to insurance companies, lawyers etc. Mine will be pretty straight forward. I have seen some take over two and a half years, even longer.
Re: That is That,
Congratulations on your retirement, and thank you for your service. You will miss the people you worked with, but not the BS. Enjoy your retirement.
