1/43 Greenlight Maryland SP - 1973 Ford Torino

Post by M1968Q » Mon Jan 01, 2018 2:57 pm

Something a little different - 1/43 Maryland SP 1973 Ford Torino. Base model is Greenlight’s “Big Lebowski” car which I stripped and removed all of the higher level trim off of. Decals by InQuarters Decals, antenna & beacon light by First Response, hubcaps created from nailheads, and paint from Duplicolor. MD didn’t buy Torinos until 74, but the 73 is close so I gave it a go.

Looks sharp. The old cars really had some style back then.

Thanks for sharing

I've always liked the tan MSP cars.

Nice looking model. I was never a fan of this color or the tan Maryland used after. I'm glad they went back to the olive green and black.

Personally, I think that particular Ford model is butt-ugly. I have to say though, as usual, Mr. Quinn perfected it and replicated its ugliness quite well!

LOL - as a "Pinto-man" you're not really in a position to talk. :) :) But thanks Mark!

Ouch! That hurt, deeply it hurt! Maybe it's because you might be right.

Sorry to change topics, but any inside news on the other releases of the '72 Polara that they were going to do? Or if those subsequent releases are still going to happen?
