Thanks Steven. Had some issues getting the white paint to dry on the 3D cab, but my new Micromark Drying Oven solved the problem.

Coming along nice.
I looked at that oven. I am still using my Harbor Freight dehydrator. Is it worth it?
My biggest problem now is painting,. Even the garage is too cold to spray.

Thanks Mike, I assume it would be big enough for Fire Replicas, I know that on the Micro Mark web page it says it can handle resin at a lower temp than die cast.

Yes, it can - well at least a pumper or smaller, aerials probably won't fit in this one but probably would in a bigger version that they sell. The temperature is adjustable, as is the time you want to leave it in there.

I built one using J B Mayes cab also.I used a Code 3 San Diego chassis and body.
I used a Tower from Chicago 63. I painted the ladder RustOLeum Charcoal, the
cab and body RustOLeum red. The "glass" is cut from a take out food box, sprayed
lightly with charcoal gray paint. A lot of cutting, sanding and test fitting, but it
finally worked. There was a lot of sanding and filling on the cab to get it smooth.
Also, I filled in the bottom of the doors, to make them full length. Sti

Thanks for sharing your tips. Iβve run into a little snag with paint βcrackingβ on one side of the cab, so Iβm working on rectifying that before I move on with assembly. Oh the joys of model building
