Foam Pierce Walk-In Rescue Truck - In Progress

Post by CoolFireTrucks » Mon Mar 25, 2019 6:53 pm

Started my next foam fire truck. It is Pierce's Heavy Duty Walk-In Rescue Truck. I will post more photos as I move along.

Let me know what you think.

Now it is cut out of the foam board. But enough work for today. I am going to start on the frame and put the wheels on the axles tomorrow.

Very nice, how do you get the drawings on the foam board?

Thanks! I have a 2019 Pierce Calendar and they have the blue prints of each truck on the back of the picture. They happened to be the perfect size to do this, so then I print them on paper and rubber cement them to foam board and cut that out. Then I would paint or color it. I have down one before but it was just a practice. I am going to make the wheels spin on this one and this one will look more real.

I will update what is going on later today. Any other questions? :)

So now I have all the wheels cut out and I made the frame and axles. Now I am in the process of painting the wheels and putting them on the axles and attaching that to the frame.

This is what that looks like:
