CHP Silverado

Post by Rich » Thu Aug 10, 2023 2:47 am

Finished up my first Greenlight Silverado. I used wheels from a Greenlight Tahoe, with a bit of silver dry brushing. Painted the body with automotive paints. The spotlights and push bumper are FRR parts. The lightbar is clear acrylic with decals. Greelight could do this as a release I suppose.

That looks really good. CHP just showed one going into service so it is likely Greenlight will release one.

But you need to explain why you have been holding out on us you have 1/64 FRR spot lights and pushbars. :)

The parts were for a 1:43 scale project, and came in too small if I recall correctly. They were never retailed. I dont have enough of them to share, just a handful. I am careful where I use them.

I’m just messing with you. If I had something like that I would hang on to them too.

With the 3D printing it is easier to get parts like this. But I still like a good old injected molded mass produced part.

I saw the mirrors & spotlights & thought it was 1/43. ;-) Looks great.
