Virginia State Police

Post by CoolCopCars » Thu Apr 15, 2021 2:49 am

i am new to this forum, so I have a lot of questions. Dose anybody know the color code or name of the blue that is on the Virginia State Police vehicles. I check one and the only code was for the base silver color. I know that it has varied over the years.

Many of today's police cars are not painted, but wraps. Its possible that they buy silver cars and wrap the blue. Its much cheaper to wrap than pay for a two tone paint, especially if its not a standard or fleet color. Remember, any blue that you use, will darken according to the primer, so look for a lighter shade if you can. There are two distinct colors of VSP blue on the current Fords, which leaves me to believe its wrapping. They are supposed to be "blue and gray" according to charter, but gray is really expensive, so they use blue and silver.
