NOPD Traffic Unit

Post by Rich » Wed Jun 19, 2019 1:00 am

I was also able to finish up this one today, except for the license plate. It is a Traffic Enforcement unit from the New Orleans Police Department. It is a White Rose 1:43 scale diecast. It was stripped of the old paint. Holes were drilled in the trunk lid for antenna's. This model had roof lights, so those holes were filled in before painting. I added the rear deck lights. The real unit had two mini lightbars. I replicated those using HO scale lightbars. I made the yellow light between the lightbars. Up front, I painted the radar unit black, the antenna gray, and added a rotating blue light. It too is an HO scale beacon. The push bar, an exact match for the real car, came from a Welly Crown Vic. I made the antenna's. The wheels were detailed a bit, they are just silver on the old releases. I added back the 5.0, LX and Ford ovals. Decals are Inquarters
