Got the door openings trimmed out and the doors cut from sheet brass. They will get some plastic strip and sheet stock added to the inside surfaces. Things are beginning to fit together now.

Great progress. I wish I could have the patience to make something like this.

Lots of people have said that to me over the years but I don't see it as having patience so much as just working on a bit at a time. If it were a case of looking at the overall project all at one time it would be overwhelming. So it's easier to break up the work into smaller segments and go from there. I'm still working on the cab and interior.
When the door openings were cut it was necessary to put some temporary bracing in place so that the openings would stay straight. That has been easier said than done but we're getting there. Interior stiffeners have worked well and there are interior panels that do that even more. Will show them once they are all in place.

Been gathering a bit of steam on the project. Interior tub is nearly finished. Doors have been hinged and have window glass that slides into place from the bottom of the door. Latches for the doors will be taken from the Trumpeter ALF kit.

That makes sense. Taking breaks om sure helps.

Thanks for sharing your pictures. It looks great so far.

Got a little paint on the cab. It needs a bit of touchup here and there but some things will clear up with a separation stripe. Duplicolor red and black over gray primer.

Here are a couple of shots of the cab as it stands tonite. There is a bit of tweaking to do to clean up little things but it is coming along.

The paint just does wonders for a build. Looks great!

Work progressed on the cab but with initial poor results. Too much in a hurry to do certain things and it got out of hand. So we've started over.

I found lots of little mistakes that really show up if you know where to look. These things happen once in a while. So no crying over spilt milk. Just getting busy making things right. ;)

Oh wow 😯 that’s annoying to start all over again :? Although it already looked perfect to me! I‘m currently stuck with my ongoing project  The moving parts simply don’t function the ways I‘ve envisioned. So at the moment I left it aside and will get back at it once I found a solution!
But man your rig is a totally different league, impressive 8-)
