The fire pump trailer that the WC pulls was finished today. Now it's on to the WC-63 which is a 6x6 based on the same chassis as the 52 except that it is 4 feet longer and has tandem rear axles. In the meantime the 52 can pull the trailer as well.

The pump enclosure was made removable for better viewing. When inside the trailer it is all but hidden.

Now that the WC-52 is done, a companion piece, the WC-63 was finished as well. This truck is the 1.5 ton version of the WC series with an extended body and 6 wheels. It was used as a personnel carrier, equipment carrier and towed guns as well as other trailers. Anti-aircraft guns were also mounted in the body on some. This one is pulling a Class 1000 trailer pump the way it would have when the truck was in service with the fire fighting platoons of WW II. Same front end as the WC-52 but different body style as you can see.
