San Francisco FD Battalion Chief - 1977 Plymouth Fury - 1/43rd Greenlight
San Francisco FD Battalion Chief - 1977 Plymouth Fury - 1/43rd Greenlight
Next up in my "Obscure Vehicles Seen on Emergency!" series of builds is this 1977 Plymouth Fury for the San Francisco Fire Department. For those of you who remember the 2-hour movies, this replicates the chief's car that Johnny and Roy are driven to the dockyard fire in towards the end of "What's a Nice Girl Like You Doing..." The model is a 1/43 Greenlight, which I disassembled, stripped and repainted to match the car in the movie. Decals from InQuarters and roof lights from First Response Replicas. These Greenlights just beg to be redone and are really outstanding replicas of the 75/76 Fury and 77/78 Fury/Monaco. Still hoping they do the 75/76 Coronet in this scale, as they have done it in 1/64, 1/24 and 1/18.

Great work Mike...It looks perfect! I just watched "The Convention" episode last week. For my own bit of trivia, a few years back my wife and I stayed at the same Sheraton hotel where the guys stayed it in that episode.

Thanks Troy - and that is a great bit of trivia

I believe the SFFD rescue truck in that movie apparently was still in service in the mid 90‘s ? I saw a part of a fire department documentary and there was the truck still in service, allthough with a lightbar instead of the beacon. Seeing that truck reminded me of this „Emergency“ episode
