Couple more progress pix. The first one shows the initial buildup of the main support system for the front bars. It provides protection for the winch and for the radiator against tree limbs poking a hole in the radiator.

And the front mounted winch is done with the exception of shaft that will go to the power takeoff. Got that to put together still.

Here's an update on progress made to date. Details are now the order of the day with the majority of the big work done. Once the bracing is prepared for the front bars and the bumper I can start on the brush bars that go over the top of the cab. That will be done with brass wire. The Wisconsin V-4 engine and Hale pump have been finished and are ready for installation. Plumbing the lines and valves still to go.

I got the body painted today but it still needs another coat. It is a tad dark compared to the cab. A bit of fine sanding and another coat should make a difference.

Work continues. The treadplate is now painted with a small brush for the edges and a wider brush for the middle part. The rear step area was also worked on by inserting protective bars on each side. Area in front of the pump still to be done. The tail light clusters were done with pieces of aluminum flashing and some two part epoxy. Red lenses were painted with Tamiya clear red. Center lens is clear but was backed up with white. The forestry hose on the topside reel is sewing elastic. The nozzle is a Don Mills Models white metal casting. The elastic was stained light tan and then was given a dirtied up look with some Doc O'Brien's grimy black weathering powder.
