Chicago 1970's rear mount seagrave

I received by Chicago Fire Seagrave Rear mount and of course I wanted to change it. I was able to remove the booster lines from the trucks, these were installed on the trucks in new in 1970, in 1973 when the union pointed out "if it carried water you need an engineer"(pump operator), the booster's were removed. This truck is outstanding. The renumbering of the large white numbers was a snap the yellow gold was a bear, so small. Looking forward to the snorkel.

We had 3 similar white over red Seagrave Rear Admirals in the 70s. (Trucks 6,7 & 8) I have to ask 1 question on this piece.... what is the bird house like item on the driver's side front bumper?
Retired 2/27/2021 after 32 years & 2 months on the job. 91 years combined between my grandfather, father, and me.

Ansul extinguisher, some trucks had them mounted in front, engines normally had them on the officer side pump step.
