New tooling F350 in 1:64 scale by Spec Cast

Post by Rich » Sat Mar 03, 2018 1:37 am

One has to wonder, if this is a shared tooling with Greenlight, as they have one coming this spring as well? The earlier product announcement from Outback claimed it was a Greenlight product. Either way, these will make for some great customs.

This is nice. A bit more pricey than the GL versions. It also looks like the bed is separate from the cab even ion the pick up. That should save some time cutting.

These look awesome but what a price difference between the single rear wheels vs the dually wheels. The dual rear wheels don't look like 1-ton wheels either. Yes, I'll be owning a few.

Anyone have any photos of the one coming out from Greenlight?

I have only seen a flat are of it. My memory is saying the first releases are special order for a diecast retail outlet.

Sword did a very nice F350 crew cab with 6 foot bed in 1:50 scale. A bit pricey, but they make nice fire vehicles.

Rich, I actually have 2 here waiting for the "shops" to reopen, but unfortunately they not only aren't dualies, but have the beds cast to the cab. I have a utility box I hope to use (someday). A year to retirement (30 yrs) & as it is now, when(if) the shop gets going, I have enough projects to last what ever is left of life...LOL. For some reason, dualies are very lacking in the die cast world. There are a few Ford pickups listed on eBay as 1/43 with duals, but they are close to 1/64 even though the boxes are clearly marked 1/43. I think they were made by Anson.
