Didn't some of the earlier preproduction photos show these ambulances with mirrors? Have they been decided against in the final releases? I do like the Suburbans so far, except for the lack of mirrors on them too.

I snagged the pre-production photo right after they announced it. It does not show mirrors. The regular production 92 Ford does not have them either. Guessing we wont see them. Might be a good photo etch opportunity.

Photo etch would be cool. I know there are a couple 3D print guys who do mirrors for the Greenlight Fords. I was looking at them because one of My Pittsburgh Code 3 ambulances needs one.

Photo etched or 3D prints are a pretty good option to look at.

I've been digging through some boxes and came across the Del Prado copis of the Code 3 models. It got me thinking. I took a look at the new GL unit and it has all the hallmarks of the DP models. I am wondering if GL got access to molds for models DP never released or had in planning. It wouldn't surprise me. It makes sense why they chose this model over lots of other versions of ambulances. And it wouldn't be the first time GL has borrowed or acquired molds.

I dont think I have ever seen a Del Prado ambulance. Were they one piece cab/box?

I don't think there were any. A lot of the Del Prado stuff was 2 piece. It was just wild speculation on my part trying to figure out why they would do this particular model.
