LA Engine 51 by Iconic

Post by Winchar » Tue Sep 20, 2022 6:22 am

I just saw an ad in the latest Vintage Fire Truck magazine for Iconic Replica's Ward LaFrance LA Engine 51. Awesome Diecast is taking pre-orders now for delivery around December, 2022. 1:50 scale to match the Squad 51 and a 5,000 number edition. Price is $129.95 I checked their website and could not find any info. They also alluded in the ad to the Crown Engine 51 coming in 2023.

I'm on their list to be notified when pre-ordering is available & haven't heard anything yet.

It will be interesting they are using the Fire Replicas model for the advertising. Here's a photo of the Fire Replicas models, cost more however the details are unreal. These have been in stock and shipping from Firereplicas.com

I've already got both of the Fire Replica's releases so not much interest in this for me.

Do we know if Fire Replica's is going to do the squad too?

Thanks for sharing

The only photo I have seen from Iconic Replicas is of the actual engine.

He talks about a KME in 1:64 scale right after the 1:50th scale news. He shows a sample. It does not look like the one that New Frontier just put out. Makes you wonder.

Yes, It looks better quality than the New Frontier model as well. Hopefully will be at a better price point as well.

Cool news for sure. My squad has been getting lonely.

I'm guessing the Iconic Replicas KME will go for less that $100 considering the run numbers. Frontier only ran 500 units of their product.
