What is your favorite fire rig in your collection?

Post by CoolFireTrucks » Thu Jan 10, 2019 4:24 pm

Hey guys,

I was just wondering what your favorite rig is in your collection? If possible, please post a photo of it along with your answer. I just really like to see the truck as well. ;) Mine is my model I got from SixFingerFiremen.com.

Thanks for sharing!

For me, it's my Code-3 Ventura CoFD ALF. I added numbers from Rich's decal sheet from that department. A close second is the Code-3 LAFD Pierce.

Your wooden rig is really neat! Thanks for posting!
My department runs a 1:50 1980's Ford C Athearn 55 foot telesquirt (actually spelled telesqurt). It has been labeled as County Truck Company 410, out of station 10. I adore the good old solid and dependable rigs with roaring Detroit Diesel or Cummins engines. Ours has features added in-house as part of its refurbishment.

From my collection, It's hands down the Squad 51, Engine 51 Emergency! set from Code-3 Collectibles. I don't think there's a more iconic set of fire apparatus known to mankind than these two rigs. I have all of my fingers and toes crossed hoping Fire Replicas will do one or both of these rigs.

The favorite in my collection is a 1930's Hubley Cast Iron 12" Ahrens-Fox. It's the largest of the 6 Fox's that Hubley made and the only one with a separate driver, ladders and hose reel. It took me about 20 years to get one that was complete with no broken front bumper or pump siamese, both often broken. Original rubber tires. Hope to post an image of it shortly.
