Re: Fire Replicas You'd like to see
Lots of issues with AFD apparatus. Impossible to get them to sign off on licensing. Don't hold your breath for any Atlanta rig.

charlie Rowley Young Crusader re-build in issue 26 of Vintage Fire Truck Mag
The letters to the editor column of issue 26 of Vintage Fire truck features images of a Tom Showers built Young Crusader. Charlie rebuilt the model for Bob Milnes, who had Tom make it for him many years ago when he was a Young dealer. Last year Bob disposed of most of his collection of fire models, ...

Re: Fire Replicas with snow chains
I remember back in the late 60's & early 70's as a volunteer in Allegheny County, Pa (Pittsburgh area) having to jack up the rears on our engine and aerial and put on the chains whenever they predicted snow. Our station was at the top of a very steep hill. This was way before On-Spot automatic chains.

FR Chicago FD 1954 FWD 85' TDA
Picked up mine at the local post office last week, another outstanding piece! Hope they continue to produce a couple of vintage rigs a year. FR did a great job of replicating the look of Wood ladders, both aerial and ground. One minor detail. I believe the aerial extension - retraction cables were s...
