Ground Force One

Completed as far as I can go. I am waiting on some resin printed parts. It is a Prevost bus in 1:64 scale, made up as one of two units the USSS has for the US President. The Prevost is a simple model. A plastic top, and a diecast bottom. I stripped the bottom and painted it with automotive paint. Th...

Re: CHP SMPV Mustangs

Jeff, besides the black and white enforcement class, there were these two, some all whites, and silver and white. That I know of.

CHP SMPV Mustangs

Took me a couple of years, but I have finally finished up these two Revell 1:24 scale kits. They are not the best kit ever, and I encountered some painting problems along the way. I had to sand the bodies and paint them a second time. I used the radio face decal from my CHP sheet on some sheet plast...

Re: Smoke paint

If you are using Tamiya smoke, to tint windows, its difficult to use. You have to brush or airbrush it on in layers. Acrylic paint does not like to stick to smooth plastic. I used to brush it on, and found that you had to put so many layers on, that after a while it looks blacked out. So I started u...

Re: LACoFD KME

Has anyone gotten a model or a refund or any sort of notice of shipping? Anything? The Facebook page is gone now.

Mother Jugs and Speed

The information below, was pulled off of the forum at EmergencyModeler. I am going to let that go, and wanted to save some information. The build I was doing, was in 1:43 scale, using the A Team van by Hot Wheels. I got pretty far along, and found the rear top corner of the body mis-shaped. I basica...

Re: Greenlight 1:64 scale ambulance

I am guessing you could just swap out the grille from the 92 F250 model, to make it a non Wheeled Coach. Although very much welcome, one does have to wonder why they chose a 30 year old ambulance. The box is not all that outdated, but the choices are very limited. A new box for the current generatio...

Re: LACoFD KME

According to his recent Facebook post, these have not even gone in to production yet. He says that they are scheduled for production in late March or April. I had thought since he was taking money for "orders" that they were produced. Apparently, he has several years worth of prototypes he keeps sho...
