Got mine a few days ago. I also noticed the lack of "texture" on the running boards. After looking at some photos of the 1/1 rig, it appears there is some texture, but would be very hard to reproduce properly in scale. I wish they would do their "dualies" in 1/43. I got rid of the 1/64 stuff a long time ago.

I (finally) came across a solution. IXO has a 1/43 International dump truck that was on sale & generously donated its rims & tires. They actually look right on the Replex Mack. Now if I could get a place to do the rest of the work....LOL.

Make it white over red, lose the roof rack & have slightly different lenses on the light bar, & that's the B/C buggies we had when I started 31 1/2 years ago.

The Chicago FWD looks great. Too bad it's so far out of being affordable.

After months of searching, & purchasing tires/wheels from as far away as the Ukraine, I have what amounts to a pile of junk in a dust case. I know I will never touch another Replex product.

I got to look at one today. Without actually being able to measure, it appears to be about 1/55. While from a "local" department, the "scale" doesn't work work for me at all.
