Re: Fire Replicas 2022
That Ward LaFrance has to be late '50's at least with the dual headlights. We had a 1961 Maxim S series 750 pumper that had them. Here's a 1/25 scale model of it that I built nearly 30 years ago.

Re: WC-52, a fire pump hauler
Now that the WC-52 is done, a companion piece, the WC-63 was finished as well. This truck is the 1.5 ton version of the WC series with an extended body and 6 wheels. It was used as a personnel carrier, equipment carrier and towed guns as well as other trailers. Anti-aircraft guns were also mounted i...

Hallmark Fire Truck for 2021
Got this 1966 Ford pumper from Hallmark for Christmas. This makes #19 in the series. Nicely done all around.

Ah, Sorry. I can't help you there. I don't have one to refer to but I'll bet the process is similar. Look underneath and see where the mounting point is and what you have to remove to clear it.

Re: Taking apart Franklin Mint tower
You are asking about the tower that has the Maxim cab I assume. If so you need to separate the body from the chassis first. Then there is a piece of plastic plumbing that is in the way of a single screw that goes into the base of the tower. Back that screw off and the tower should come free.

Re: Agora FDNY
I checked out the web site. A big model for sure! Says it is a combination of diecast metal and plastic but is pre-painted. First I have heard of it. Please post your project. It will be fun to watch.

Re: Caterpillar D6M dozer conversion
Oh, boy! I have come close to doing that myself! I have a chair on casters and it swivels as well so if I drop something before I move the chair I look around and if I don't see what I dropped I rotate out of the chair and look again before moving it. I've avoided some serious parts damage that way ...

Re: WC-52, a fire pump hauler
The fire pump trailer that the WC pulls was finished today. Now it's on to the WC-63 which is a 6x6 based on the same chassis as the 52 except that it is 4 feet longer and has tandem rear axles. In the meantime the 52 can pull the trailer as well. 019.JPG 021.JPG The pump enclosure was made removabl...
