Some of my police car builds - 1960 Ford
1960 Ford 2dr Custom sedan- Minnesota Hwy Patrol 1/25 resin kit. I think (can't remember) it was offered by R&R Vacuum. And yes. They mounted the siren on the hood up near the windshield https://media.fotki.com/2vmiecHrxQkPi.jpg https://media.fotki.com/2vmieJqoxQkPi.jpg https://media.fotki.com/2vmie...

Some of my police car builds - 1972 Paddy wagon
AMT/ERTL 1972 Chevy pickup used as the chassis for a Chicago PD squadrol (paddy wagon). I built this about 20 years ago. I used a block of balsa wood and sheet plastic to make the rear compartment. I still have it. It's one of my favorites. https://media.fotki.com/2v2HpmdnTxQkPi.jpg https://media.fo...

Question about posting
I was under the impression that this forum was for 1/43 scale only. But I see others posting police models in various scales. Are the larger scales accepted here as standard, or an occasional exception? The reason I ask is because I do not normally build 1/43 scale cars and have only done 3 or 4. I ...

Re: Steer clear of this guy.
I filed a claim with PayPal last month. I also contacted the Fire Chief in Pottstown, PA and explained briefly what was going on. The chief responded and said that Mr Shupinski was not an active member of the fire department, but had been approx 10 yrs ago. He said he would attempt to look into it a...

Re: Hill Street Blues Unit 7911 - 1/43rd Greenlight 1978 Dodge Royal Monaco
I hate to be the wet blanket, but the car shown in the beginning of HSB (#7911) was actually a 1976 Dodge, former Chicago Police car. It was a leftover prop car from the Blues Brothers movie. Did you know the show was supposed to take place in Chicago but after the movie was released, the city did n...

Re: 1/43rd Hill Street Blues 1975 Plymouth Fury
It looks great. As a comparison, here is the real car. I shot this photo in 1984 when I worked for the production company that owned/maintained all the HSB vehicles.

Chicago PD 1972 Polara
Thanks to Rich for helping me acquire the Neo resin kit. I made a replica of my restored Polara because I doubt it will ever be released in the 1972 Polara police car line https://media.fotki.com/2v2JSSWcVxQkPi.jpg https://media.fotki.com/2v2JSSWeCxQkPi.jpg https://media.fotki.com/2v2JSSWUgxQkPi.jpg...
