Re: Mack Snorkel

1/4” too long? Thought that kinda stuff only happened to me! Oh wait, in my case woulda been 1/4” too short, and even then only after painting it, LOL. Nice progress so far, looks like quality!

Re: Port Vue, Pennsylvania Reo

Missing the traditional Dalmatian mascot, but otherwise exceeds all expectations with the addition of all that gear in the back, LOL! I was already impressed with the full tool lockers and now this! They just keep getting better and better, Charlie, congratulations! I figure it took about ten weeks,...

Re: Port Vue, Pennsylvania Reo

Nice contemporary styling on the fire body, and the blue colour is certainly unique, it’s gonna be a real eye-catcher!

Re: Jacksonville E-27 in 1/25 scale

Looking Good! Time to see the Quartermaster in Central Stores and get her supplied! Or, more correctly, visit Payless for some shoelaces, LOL

Wait, there is a ladder that goes into a drop-down rack on the right side, no? Some more engineering needed for that

Wow, such a great job on the body, the compartment doors are so neatly done, then paint and quite detailed striping and logos to top it off! Thanks for the detailed how-to photos as well!

Re: Jacksonville E-27 in 1/25 scale

Nice job on that fancy ball valve, looks bang on! I see tabs soldered onto a circle of brass wire, with the rest ‘just’ plastic offcuts, placed strategically, easy enough until one considers the size! Pretty amazing miniaturization!

Thanks, now I see the big handles on the back serve a purpose!

Re: ICM Model T Fire Truck - has no one built one?

Thanks, I always wondered how those old brass soda extinguishers worked, same principle I guess. Saw this kit (with figures!) at an attractive price and was looking for incentive to buy and build, but I really don’t need another project right now

FDNY’s Fire Fighter Boat

Still getting to know my way around here, thought I’d shake things up with a fireboat, from the old Revell kit. First boat done since I was a kid, with similar results, sadly, LOL! Appears not quite finished when I showed it here, missed another deadline, I guess. Anybody ever done one of these? htt...

ICM Model T Fire Truck - has no one built one?

Looking to see if this kit has a pump, or they simply pressurized the tanks before the run
