With the casting done I gave each a coat of Molotow chrome using the 1 and 2 pens. Not a bad result on bare resin. The lenses are done but will not go in until the bezels are mounted on the cab. The basic cab construction is now complete. The new doors have been built and hung (but will be removed for painting). Interior panels have been made and new windshield glass is done. Work progressed on the cab but with initial poor results. Too much in a hurry to do certain things and it got out of hand. So we've started over. 055a.JPG I found lots of little mistakes that really show up if you know where to look. These things happen once in a while. So no crying over spilt milk....

Here are a couple of shots of the cab as it stands tonite. There is a bit of tweaking to do to clean up little things but it is coming along.

Got a little paint on the cab. It needs a bit of touchup here and there but some things will clear up with a separation stripe. Duplicolor red and black over gray primer.

A few things I would have done differently had I done it today. But alas, it was done probably 25 years ago. The portable tank can be set up and unfolded but I wouldn't want to put any water in it!
