Chicago Firehouse
Display

By:  Hans Vrijenhoek - The Netherlands

The project is contracted of  wood for all walls and doors (cut out the windows on a 3000 ATB watercutter).  Aluminum was used for the roof shingles, steel for the fences (to make sure the trucks won't roll of the cabinet).  Marble particles was used for for the road and parking lot.  Real wood and greenery from our local forest for the trees and the plants growing on the wall.  Anodized aluminum for the Chicago Fire Department sign and a plastic emblem from a code 3 dome Grass is made of nylon normally used in the H-0 (scale 1-87) train dioramas transparent plastic for the windows.  Walls are made of wallpaper bought at the local hobby shop.  Parked are several code 3 models and 1 corgi.  Also, on the parking lot are some dub city Jada toys.

This is Han's first attempt on a project this size.   A few smaller problem occurred:  The doors are not hanging perfectly and he can't find a proper Chicago City or Illinois State Flag for the pole (can anyone give Han's some help here?).
